Big Moss Golf creates indoor putting greens, turf surfaces, and golf practice environments for residential and commercial spaces.

Challenge
The end user needed a room that could function as a true indoor golf environment, not just a screen with a hitting mat. The space had to support simulator rounds, putting practice, launch monitor feedback, and year-round use while keeping equipment organized and clear of the hitting area.

Golf simulator projection also has a specific visual challenge. The image needs to be large enough to feel immersive, bright enough for a real room environment, and clear enough for course visuals, aiming cues, shot data, and simulator controls to be readable during practice.
Solution
Big Moss built out the room with wall-to-wall turf, putting cups, a dedicated hitting area, launch monitor integration, and an impact screen. An Optoma ZK521ST-B short throw 4K projector was ceiling-mounted to power the projected course experience.

The short throw design helped create a large simulator image from a practical placement while keeping the projector out of the player’s swing path. The 4K projection supports the simulator experience by making course visuals, on-screen data, and projected content appear sharper and more realistic.
Achievement
The finished installation created a polished indoor golf space that supports practice, play, and entertainment throughout the year.
