At the flagship GOLFTEC Manhattan location, expert instruction meets immersive technology to create a truly next-generation golf improvement experience.
Challenge

GOLFTEC Manhattan needed a visual solution that could do more than just display, it needed to transform their lobby and training environment. Their goal was to capture attention from the busy NYC streets, enhance interactive training methods like putting analysis, and support high-end corporate events hosted at the facility. They required bright, high-resolution projectors and displays capable of delivering dynamic content, from live putting data to advertising reels, all in a sleek, high-traffic urban space.

Solution

They installed two Optoma projectors at the center: An Optoma ZU920TST laser projector for the large back wall display and a compact GT2000HDR short-throw projector mounted overhead for the interactive putting green. The ZU920TST delivers a powerful 9,800 lumens of brightness, projecting a rotating mix of advertisements, instructional videos, and event visuals onto the back wall, creating a vivid, street-visible display that draws attention from passersby and guests alike. Meanwhile, the GT2000HDR enhances putting instruction by projecting real-time visuals directly onto the surface of the green. Aiming guides, break path visuals, and live stroke feedback help create a data-rich, immersive training experience for students.

Finally, they put in an Optoma 86-inch Creative Touch 5-Series Interactive Display to aid in the visualization of golf data and analysis by the putting green.

"Our Optoma projectors have been fantastic. They’re great eye-catchers from the street when we have putting lessons going on. They also help us create great experiences for events and customers," said Jake Miller, Center Manager and Director of Instruction at GOLFTEC Manhattan.

Achievement

With the addition of Optoma technology, GOLFTEC Manhattan has transformed its flagship location into a high-tech, interactive destination for both instruction and entertainment. The bright, clear visuals have improved engagement during lessons, enhanced customer experiences during events, and strengthened street-level visibility in one of the world’s busiest cities. By harnessing the power of Optoma’s high-performance projection, GOLFTEC continues to raise the standard for golf instruction and facility innovation.
